PADI SPECIALTY COURSES
The purpose of PADI Specialty Courses is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning and organization that are necessary to safely conduct various special interest diving activities.
With Pro Dive, you may complete all or any portion of the required dives for a PADI Specialty course; you will receive certification for the specialty course upon completion of all required dives.

For PADI Diving Society members, Pro Dive offers PADI “Specialty of the Month” courses, for which you can receive nice gifts from PADI including hats, flip-flops, backpacks and other PADI items upon successful completion of your course.

Equipment Needed:
For all specialty courses, you will need the following equipment:
• Mask, fins and snorkel*
• Wetsuit*
• BCD with low-pressure inflator system*
• Single-hose regulator with alternate-air-source device*
• Submersible pressure gauge*
• Depth gauge*
• Compass *
• Bottom timing device (dive computers preferred)*
• Dive knife or other cutting tool
• Surface signaling device (whistle)
• Pencil and underwater slate
Additional equipment may be needed for individual courses; please call for specific requirements of each course.
And please note that all Pro Dive students are eligible for special discount pricing on equipment purchased in our full-service retail dive center. Rental equipment is available on request.

Scheduling:
Specialty dives are available daily; courses are offered on a regular basis or may be scheduled upon request. Please call for scheduling details.
*Important Note: Please consult with our staff for procedures regarding flying after diving.
Price:
In addition to regular boat and rental equipment fees, each Specialty dive trip will cost $75 per trip - for two Specialty dives conducted with your instructor during the same boat trip. Specialty courses have a certain amount of required dives for each particular course. Prices breakdown as follows:
Two Dive Specialty (one boat trip) $150
Three Dive Specialty (two boat trips) $300
Four Dive Specialty (two boat trips) $300
Four Dive Specialty (three boat trips) $450
Four Dive Specialty (four boat trips) $600

Our course cost includes instruction; certification fees; a photo for your certification card and all course books and materials.
If conducting a la carte specialty dives, there is an additional PADI certification fee that must be paid when the specialty dives are completed.
