Pro Dive International

The PADI Enriched Air Diver (nitrox) course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course. The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course provides recreational divers with the knowledge to safely plan and conduct nitrox dives up to 40%. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time – which means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

Entry Requirements:
You must be at least 15 years of age and certified as an Open Water diver, or taken in conjunction with your Open Water Scuba Diver Course, to participate in the PADI Enriched Air Diver course.

Course Materials:
PADI Enriched Air Diver Crew Pack (included with classroom based program)
PADI Digital Enriched Air Diver Manual (included with eLearning course)
Use of Enriched Air dive computer during training

Equipment Needed:
You will need the following equipment for the course:
• Mask, fins and snorkel
• Wetsuit*
• BCD with low-pressure inflator system*
• Single-hose regulator with alternate-air-source device*
• Submersible pressure gauge*
• Depth gauge*
• Compass*
• Bottom timing device (dive computers preferred)*
• 2 Dive lights (needed only for optional night dive)*
• Dive knife or other cutting tool (recommended)
• Surface signaling device (whistle) (recommended)
• Pencil and underwater slate (recommended)
* Available for rental

All Pro Dive students are eligible for special discount pricing on equipment purchased in our full-service retail dive center. Rental equipment is available on request.

2) Taught on demand in a classroom session requiring approximately 6 hours.  

One or two ocean dives utilizing enriched air are optional, but recommended. These dives are most often conducted as night dives, except when done during Open Water Scuba Diver training.  Regularly scheduled courses as in our Semester and Career Programs are available, also!

Certification Awarded:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student is certified as a PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver.

$275 (with 2 dives)  Our course cost includes online eLearning or classroom session; two ocean boat dives; certification fees; your new certification card and all course materials including enriched air dive computer during training.

$250 (with 1 dive) Our course cost includes online eLearning or classroom session; one ocean boat dive using enriched air; certification fees; your new certification card and all course materials including enriched air dive computer during training.  This 1 dive option is available when done in conjunction with Open Water Scuba Diver training.

$225 (without dives) Our course cost includes online eLearning or classroom session; certification fees;  your new certification card and all course materials including enriched air dive computer during training.
